Threaded flanges are also called NPT flanges/matching flanges. The inner diameter of the threaded flange contains a NPT internal thread, which is used to connect to the NPT external threaded pipe. The biggest advantage is that it can be connected without welding and is convenient for installation. In addition to the standard NPT form specified by the ASME B16.5 code, other thread forms can also be customized according to customer requirements.
The three most common end-face connection forms of threaded flanges are usually matched with related mating flanges. Including raised face, flat face or RTJ face seal. Raised face and flat face are usually used in medium and low pressure pipeline applications. RTJ is the first choice for high pressure pipeline applications. The standard height of threaded flanges below 400# is 1/16″. The standard height of threaded flanges below 400# is 1/4″.
